Privacy Policy
What information TechTutorZone collects, how cookies and advertising partners such as Google may use data, your rights under GDPR and CCPA, and how to contact us.
This policy explains what information is collected when you read TechTutorZone, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the site has no accounts, forms or newsletter; the only personal data it processes is ordinary web-server logs, whatever you choose to email us, and, if advertising is shown, the data that advertising partners collect under their own policies.

Information we collect
Server logs
Like almost every website, the web server records each request: the page requested, the date and time, your IP address, the browser and operating system reported by your browser (the user agent), and the referring page if your browser sends one. These logs are used to keep the site running, to diagnose errors and abuse, and to count how often pages are read in aggregate. They are not combined with any other data about you and are deleted on a rolling basis.
IP addresses
When you sign up, log in or return while logged in, we record the IP address your device used, together with the time. We use these addresses only for safety and abuse prevention (for example to keep banned users out) and to understand where our visitors come from. They are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted, are visible only to the site's administrators, and are never shown to other visitors or sold. If you use a shared connection (a school, a library, a family home), the address identifies that connection, not you personally.
Email you send us
If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and keep it only as long as the conversation is open.
What we do not collect
The site has no user accounts, sign-up forms, comments, newsletter or analytics script. The browser tools on this site (contrast checker, fluid type calculator, JSON formatter, regular expression tester) run entirely in your browser; what you type into them is never sent to us.
Cookies and local storage
TechTutorZone itself sets no cookies. The light/dark theme switch stores a single preference (theme) in your browser's local storage so the choice survives a reload; it never leaves your device and you can clear it from your browser settings.
Third parties that serve advertising on this site may set cookies and use similar technologies, as described in the next section.
Advertising and Google
We may use Google AdSense to show advertisements. When advertising is active, Google and its partners act as third-party vendors and use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites, and to measure and report on ad performance. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of a number of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info (United States) or www.youronlinechoices.com (Europe). How Google uses information from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Other advertising vendors or ad networks may also serve ads on this site; where that happens their cookie use is governed by their own privacy policies, and we will list them here.
Links to other sites
Tutorials link to outside documentation and tools (for example MDN, the W3C, Node.js and Git). Those sites have their own privacy policies; this one does not apply to them.
Children
The site is general-audience educational content and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR)
Our legal basis for keeping server logs is legitimate interest in running and securing the site; for replying to your email it is your request. You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it. Email us to exercise any of these. You also have the right to complain to your national data-protection authority. For advertising cookies, consent is obtained and managed through the ad-serving platform's consent tools where the law requires it.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request its deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information. Advertising partners' use of cookies may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law; you can opt out through the Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info links above, or through the Global Privacy Control signal in browsers that support it.
Security and retention
The site is served over HTTPS. Server logs are kept for operational purposes and rotated; email is kept only while a conversation is open. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes, such as adding a new advertising partner, will be described in the policy itself.
